Custom Plugins
Introduction
Customization is a key aspect of CommaJS. It's the reason that pushed us to develop CommaJS in the first place. Our main goal was to keep CommaJS customizations as simple as writing HTML, CSS and Javascript. We tested this approach directly: we wrote all the standard CommaJS plugins from scratch using the APIs described in this chapter - and we loved it!
First, we will introduce the CommaJS DOM (Document Object Model), how it works, and how you can manipulate the underlying HTML DOM. Second, we will describe how to develop your own custom plugin.
It may seem a lot, but we think you'll be able to start working on your own project in less than 10 minutes.
